In 2007, our founder Jean-François Flechet brought back a 120lbs cast iron waffle maker from his native Belgium. His goal was to bring the waffles he grew up loving as a kid back to his new home in Cincinnati, OH. He began baking waffles in the back of a produce store in historic Findlay Market. Today, that little waffle stand has grown into a growing restaurant group and sensation. As always at Taste of Belgium, it all begins with a waffle.
